As Wesley Enhanced Living transformed its network of continuing care retirement communities into "enhanced living communities," the need emerged to identify an individual that would also transform the organization's traditional human resources function into a role dedicated to the enrichment and development of its 600-member workforce. In the spring of 2006, organizational development specialist Gerald J. Organt, was named Wesley Enhanced Living's first vice president of human potential.

Organt is responsible for the development of an innovative workplace culture program designed to inspire Wesley Enhanced Living employees to embrace strong job ownership skills, enabling each individual to achieve their highest potential. A human resources professional with more than 20 years experience, Organt also directs employee recruitment and retention, staff development, training, benefits and insurance program functions for the organization.

Organt joined Wesley Enhanced Living from DJ and Associates, a consulting firm based in Villanova, Pa., where he counseled clients on human resources and organizational development matters. Earlier in his career, Organt served Occidental Petroleum Corporation for nearly two decades, where he was responsible for global organization transformation and employee development initiatives.
