Volunteer Opportunities

"The ultimate expression of generosity is not in giving of what you have, but in giving of who you are."Johnnetta B. Cole

Every Wesley Enhanced Living community promotes a culture in which each and every person is valued as a giver and receiver of skills, talents, and experiences—and it is in this kind of inspired and vibrant environment that we’ve found the spirit of volunteerism truly prospers.

It has always been our pleasure to honor and welcome the diverse talents and skills of friends and neighbors who contribute to and enrich our communities, and we continue to eagerly look forward to growing our volunteer corps. Additionally, we ambitiously seek opportunities for our residents to contribute their wisdom and talents to cultural, educational, and charitable interests and concerns within the wider community.

You can enrich the vibrancy of our communities even if you are able to contribute only 30 minutes of your time. If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer, please be assured that we’ll work out an arrangement that best accommodates your schedule.

Some of our current volunteer opportunities include:
  • Visiting with residents
  • Writing letters to or for residents
  • Helping wheelchair-bound residents enjoy the outdoors
  • Accompanying residents on leisurely walks or shopping trips
  • Reading to residents who are vision impaired
  • Assisting residents with gardening activities
  • Leading current events discussions, prayer groups, or bible study
  • Grace our residents with your unique talents by becoming a Wesley Enhanced Living guest artist or performer
