Independent Living Services and
Accomodations
Built in the early 1980's, our Stapeley West wing offers residential living in 43 private apartments that provide an enriching lifestyle with as much socialization or privacy as desired. Apartments range in size from studio to two bedrooms with a den. Every unit has a balcony that overlooks the south gardens. Stapeley West is connected to the rest of the community by a glass enclosed walkway overlooking a hardwood forest and walking paths. Stapeley Hall is the historic, original Victorian style building that was once a modest boarding home. Today it is the site of the Personal Care Community, part of the continuum of care that ensures an enriching lifestyle and promotes independence with support for our residents. Our personal care program includes private accommodations in spacious apartments, inviting parlor for socializing, a library with video equipment for the visually impaired, a plant-room, gardens and secure areas to enjoy the outdoors. A robust activities program, with trips and entertainment, provides additional opportunities for enrichment and socialization. Our 120 bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center encompasses a team of Board-certified physicians who specialize in geriatric care, licensed nurses, and clinicians who provide a range of healthcare services. – Alzheimer's/Dementia Program
Bridges offers a “secured” community for those with Alzheimer's or dementia. Bridges is located within our historic Stapeley Hall. Our experienced and specially trained staff are well qualified in behavioral interventions and are able to provide a higher level of care to support the sensitive and special needs of the dementia resident. Therapeutic programs are designed to include recreation, former work experiences and activities of daily living. These specialized services are proven to increase the resident’s independence, decrease agitation and increase the sense of belonging.
